Festive Halloween Houses With Fun Facts

Much searching was done and I think I have narrowed down some of the coolest looking houses that have been decorated for Halloween.  My house does not look like any of these-though I think it would be really cool if it did!

The first Jack O’Lanterns were actually made from turnips.

Samhainophobia is the fear of halloween.

Boston, Massachusetts holds the record for having the most Jack O’Lanterns at one time which was 30,128.

The highest candy selling day of the year is October 28.

October 30 is national candy corn day.

The next predicted Halloween full moon is October 31, 2020. It is rarely actually on Halloween, the past few times was in 1925, 1944, 1955 and 1974.

In the United States, black cats are thought to bring bad luck while in the United Kingdom, white cats are thought to bring bad luck.

The first known trick or treating in the United States was in the mid 1800’s.

 

Halloween was thought to begin in Ireland.

Legend has it that if you see a spider on Halloween, it is actually the spirit of a loved one watching over you.

Magician, Harry Houdini died on Halloween in 1926 due to a ruptured appendix caused by several blows to the stomach.

    That last house looks more like a fire hazard than anything else! You can see that thing from space.

    All houses are decorated very nicely. Complete matches with Halloween festival. Kids will enjoy a lot. I agree with Ed Pierce about the last house which is almost looking like a burning house.

    They look like they are on fire but they are nicely decorated,I Like this but i don’t like the Halloween celebrations especially the costumes used.
