September 14th, 2013 by in Finance with 554 Views

You should pick retirement location with low taxes because this will allow you save more cash which you can use for other purposes such as exploration of the environment, enjoying the nightlife or saving for possible future expenses.

Federal taxation is almost uniform in all states thus you can’t do much to reduce the federal tax burden. However, state fee varies considerably for the states thus you can decide a state that can match your needs.

Other factors that determine the place to retire include availability of recreational facilities, cost of living, and cultural practices. The best places to retire in the US include:

Stafford, Texas

This a suburb of Houston that has completely eliminated all taxes levied on property since 1995. Texas is among the seven us states without income tax. The other states that do not have income tax are Wyoming, Alaska, South Dakota, Florida, Washington and Nevada. Stafford has the least sales tax in Houston, Texas.

The fact that you DID NOT name a place in Florida… I am SHOCKED! :) Cheyenne is beautiful, though. I think Ohio has some amazing places too.
