The Tibetan Buddhists have the weirdest practices of handling their dead. They practice ritual dissection which entails cutting up the body parts of the deceased and feeding animals, more especially the birds. They consider the body an empty vessel that deserves no better treatment. To date, more than 80 percent of Tibetan Buddhists choose this method for burial.

    So when I die, I guess being buried in a casket isn’t so bad… people in other places will eat me. YUCK!!!!!!

    honor the dead by feeding it to the birds? really? Good thing its not a practice here in our place

    First and third burial process seems to me quite horrific. Eating human flesh to respect the deceased!! Pretty shocking, I wish this type of incidents not occurring any where in the world at this age.
